CA Partner Policy

This policy governs how Chartered Accountants and other tax professionals (collectively, 'CA Partners') are verified, listed and engaged through the SaathiX 'Find a verified CA' directory.

1. Eligibility & verification

To be listed as a verified CA on SaathiX, an applicant must:

  • Hold a valid ICAI membership number in good standing, or be a registered tax practitioner under CGST Rule 83.
  • Submit government-issued ID, PAN, and firm registration proof (if applicable).
  • Pass background verification through our KYC partner.
  • Sign the SaathiX CA Partner Agreement and Data Processing Addendum.

SaathiX independently verifies each applicant. Listing is not a guarantee of engagement or referral volume.

2. Engagement model

All CA engagements are directly between the client (shop owner) and the CA Partner. SaathiX facilitates discovery, initial contact and (optionally) invoicing but is not a party to the professional services agreement.

SaathiX does not provide tax opinions, GST filings, audit or attest services. Any advice rendered is the sole responsibility of the CA Partner.

3. Fees & platform charges

Listing on the CA network is free during the introductory period. SaathiX may charge a platform facilitation fee of up to 10% on invoices raised through the SaathiX billing rail, disclosed in advance in the CA Partner Agreement.

CA Partners set their own professional fees. SaathiX does not fix, guide or interfere with fee structures.

4. Code of conduct

  • Uphold the ICAI Code of Ethics and Chartered Accountants Act, 1949.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client data accessed through SaathiX.
  • Do not solicit clients outside the platform through data obtained on the platform.
  • Do not misrepresent qualifications, experience, or firm details.
  • Respond to client inquiries within a reasonable time (target: 48 business hours).

5. Suspension & delisting

SaathiX may suspend or remove a CA Partner for material breach of this policy, verified client complaints, disciplinary action by ICAI, or fraudulent activity. Delisted partners will be informed in writing with the reason and a 15-day window to respond, except in cases of fraud or regulatory action.

6. Limitation of liability

SaathiX is a technology intermediary under Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000. SaathiX is not liable for the quality, timeliness, or accuracy of professional services rendered by CA Partners. Clients are advised to independently satisfy themselves regarding the CA Partner's suitability.

For questions, complaints, or to report misconduct, write to ca-network@saathix.com or the Grievance Officer at grievance@saathix.com. Response within 15 working days as per the IT Rules, 2021.
